Hurricane watches were extended from North Carolina to Cape Henlopen, Delaware, as Hurricane Earl continued toward the East Coast with 125-mph winds, U.S. forecasters said. Warnings are up from Bogue Inlet, North Carolina, to the Virginia line.

Hurricane Watches Issued for North Carolina's Coast With Earl Approaching

Hurricane watches were posted for part of the North Carolina coast, including the Pamlico and Albemarle sounds and the Wilmington area, as Hurricane Earl approached, the National Hurricane Center said.
